just the markup is printing - not the whole image

AM INSERTING .TIF FROM FILE - SOMETIMES THE WHOLE IMAGE PRINTS AND SOMETIMES
IT DOESN'T - MORE OFTEN THAN NOT JUST THE MARK-UP PRINTS.

First of all: DON'T SHOUT! (All-caps is considered shouting in newsgroups
and forums and is not very polite.)

In which program do you save your TIF file? Try changing the settings there.
Or use JPG or PNG files, which normally work better in PowerPoint (and are
smaller).
