Keeping End Date Always in View

Is there a way to have then project end date (or any other specfic date)
always in view? When I am updating my schedule status I would like to know
immediately if the update changed the end date. Sometimes it should and other
times it should not. Currently I am having to scroll to the bottom of the
plan and look a the date for the final milestone. If there is some way that
this date could always be displayed, for example in a small windows that is
always visible on top of whatever else may be displayed, that would be
perfect. But, I don't expect that is available in Project 2003. Is there a
third party product that might provide this functionality?

I have tried splitting the window and displaying the final milestone in the
bottom pane, but it seems to sync'd with the top pane, so the milestone does
not remain in view.

Dann,
There are various approaches to get what you want. You were on the right
track with the split window idea but let's use a variation of that theme.
1. Open the file of interest
2. Go to Project/New Window and open a second window of that same file
3. Use Arrange All under the Project window.
4. In one of the panes select the end milestone so it will show any
change.
5. Make your edits in the other pane, you will see the result
immediately on the end milestone.

That's one approach. If that doesn't suffice, let us know and we can
offer more suggestions.

Hope this helps.
