Keyboard not woking on any MS Office 2003 application

Hi,
My customer has Windows XP and office 2003 (previously installed office 2007
trial) If he opens up any office application, the keyboard does not work
(within office) but works in any other application. Has anyone got ideas who
to solve this problem?
