license information for this component not found

Hank

I've recently deployed an upgraded access 2003 application onto my clients
computers and one of the users is unable to run it due to the following
information message:

"license information for this component not found. You do not have an
appropriate license to use this functionality in the design environment"

None of the other users are having this problem so it appears to be unique
to this users pc. Note this application is split between a back end mde file
(I.e. data objects) located on a server and front end mde file (application
objects) located in a shared folder on each users pc.

This user appears to have the same version of Access 2003 (e.g. SP2)
installed as his collegues.

Any ideas on what may be causing this issue?

What library references are you using?

Open the code window (Ctrl+G), and choose References on the Tools menu. I'm
guessing you have some other libraries there, and the problem computer does
not have the library installed and registered. Here's some info about the
basic references in each version of Access:

If it's not a library reference, it could be an ActiveX control you used in
some of your forms/reports. Same issue: it's not registered/installed.

It could also be a font.

If none of that applies, they might try re-installing Office on that
machine.
