Link with input attached ?

Hello
I'm new here and I have a thorny problem (for me anyway!)

I need to have a link from a web page to another page on the same intranet. The
problem is that the target page needs some input to give the required info back
to the user.

So I need something like :
link to page
skip three input fields
use input from original page (text input) to call further info from target page
(database)

I have no idea where to look for guidance or what such a procedure might be
called.

Any advice or 'pointing me in the right direction' would be greatly appreciated

Is there a link to the pages in question? Are you using
the DBRW for the form on the original page? I dont know
much about using the DBRW, but I know that it would take
about 2 minutes to perform what you're asking using VB to
handle the form and redirect to the new page...If your ISP
supports it.
