I'm using an ADP where i need to have a link to spreadsheets that are updated
regularly. The field names have in the spreadsheets have spaces in between
them such as
"Customer Number" and this returns an.The problem is that the spreadsheets
are created from a export program in another application of which i cannot
change the field names. The spreadsheet is re created each time it is run so
i can't change the formatting. Is there a way around this without user
interface?

I can't change the field names at the spreadsheet level as the come through
as is from a Unix machine into excell. I think i found a way around this
through. After linking the tables once, it seems that the query that is
created will retain the orginal field names. So the next time the spreadsheet
is automatically updated if i surpress the column heading the data pulls
through to the orignial column heading. It seems to shift some of the fields,
but that i can work with. Thanks for your help.

Try to enclose these names with [ ] or with " ... " .
