Linking Convention

I am curious if there is some convention about linking. I typically have a
milestone at the end of a summary task (the deliverable from the summary
group) and link that to the next summary task if they are happening
sequentially.

For example suppose we have two summary tasks "Build Deliverable One" and
"Build Deliverable Two" and the last task (milestone) in the first summary
task is "Deliverable One Available". I would link the Milestone "Deliverable
One Available" to the summary Task "Build Deliverable Two".

What is the view of other PMs?
