Linking to an access Database

I am trying to link to an access database from my
companies intranet. When I click on the link, I am
prompted for the usual open, save, cancel, etc... When I
click on open, the file downloads and then absolutely
nothing happens. If I browse out to that file from my
computer it opens fine. I am open to any and all
suggestions. The file name is not over 128 characters
long. Thanks in advance. RAY
