Links in email open Internet Explorer, but Address is blank

When I click a link in an email, Internet Explorer is opened, but the Address
bar is blank, and the page never loads. This started a couple of weeks ago.

I am using IE version: 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519

I am using Outlook 2000 SP-3 (9.0.0.6627)

Can anyone advise me on how to fix this issue?

What kind of connection are you using? Sounds like the connection drops; but,
it should be prompting you to reconnect.

I am using a DSL. The connection is good. The address bar is blank. It is
not that it can't connect to the site, it is that the address is not being
transferred from the link to the address bar in IE.
