Log of Office files opened?

Is there a feature of MS Office that lets you see a list
of the files you have recently worked on and when? I'd
like to use it to "re-create" my day at the end of each
day for purposes of recording my time at work.

You could look in "My Recent Documents" folder (hidden) in your profile.
Shortcut's are created with a timestamp there when you open files.
