Lost all Outlook info

I have just discovered that all my Outlook info has
disappeared. Can it be found & retrieved? I'm not very
computer savvy, so a layman's explanation would be
appreciated

Disappeared? Like in you fire up Outlook and there are no folders of any kind? Or it won't fire up? What Windows version are you using. If XP look in:

C:\Documents and Settings\%profile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook you will find your pst in there. You could open Outlook and open a data file and get to the same location.

You may need to have showw all hidden folders and files enabled to get to Local Settings in Windows Explorer. To dao that:

Windows Explorer | Tools | Folder options... | View | In the list box enable by checking or unchecking the checkbozes appropriately.
