Lucky Number

I want to print a Fete Programme which has a lucky number. So I want a box
that prints a rising nmumber, starting at 1 on each printed programme. Is it
possible?

Mary,

I have a similar challenge: I want to print "tickets" using an Avery
Business Card Template. On each ticket, I want a number to count from 1 to
140 - for 140 tickets.

I have tried to use a simple excel spreadsheet with one column labeled
"count" and rows under "count" incrementing up to 140. I use the mail merge
in Publisher to add a field called "count" to the card and merge the "data"
to get my 140 cards, numbered from 1 to 140.

What I get is a new document with (depending on what I do) a single card on
140 pages - or 140 pages of 10 cards each - each page has ten cards with the
same number. I, of course, want 14 pages of 10 cards each, with each card on
a page carrying a unique number - 1st page, first card =1; last page last
card=140 .

I'm using MS Publisher 2007 on Windows XP SP3.

I know you can figure this out!! Help!

When you are finished creating the card with the merge field in place go to
File, Print Merge, select *Multiple pages per sheet.* There is a print preview
on this screen, it will preview correct.

Thank you!

Strange - the "print Multiple pages per sheet" in the Print Setup>Advanced>
Custom Page Size Dialog does not work but if I go to File>Print Merge and
set Multiple Pages per Sheet" there - it works! hmmmm....

Thanks again!

Howard
