making changes in dulicated objects

james

I have made a table of 10 rows by 2 columns and duplicated grouped objects
into all the cells....now i want to make changes to these groups, but i need
those changes to be reflected in all the objects just the same....

For example if i have John Smith ina text box and want to change it to James
Right..
how can i change it all at one time without doing it one by one

a) Find and Replace.
b) In a Wizard publication you may be able to create synchronised text boxe.
c) It's not really very possible.

An easier way in many respects would be to create a single "cell", then
tell Publisher to repeat it 10 times vertically and twice horizontally.
Then any changes in the single element would be reflected across the
page. This is slightly harder to set up properly; Page Setup holds the
options.

ya i had to find that command in Publisher, it saves work but not much.

this sounds ok but i have no idea how do that; if i can specify the exact
height and width of the cell..even better

The exact procedure depends on the version of Publisher you're using. It
does allow you to specify the exact height and width.

stumped??

No, just didn't notice your message (cut me some slack, OK, I have
Finals in 6 weeks).

File > Page Setup > Printer and Paper. Set your paper size to the
correct setting,
Then go to Layout, select Custom, enter the size of a single cell, then
go to Change Copies Per Sheet, and set the parameters there to the
values you need.

nono dont take me the wrong way... i assume it wasn't easy.
in fact , the .. "change copies per sheet " box is not simplified in that
task.

but with a little fiddling, it works
