how do I change the margins in a document so that the
margins that I see in a document will actually be
printed. When I print a document there is about a half
inch margin around the background that I would like to
get rid of. Can anybody tell me how to do this? Thanks.

This is a physical limitation of your printer.
You printer is no sooner able to get up, walk into the kitchen and make you
a cup of coffee and to print closer to the edge.
