MBOX file is not actually a file.... what do I do

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: pop Hello

I imported everything from my Mail 3.1 account into entourage however it did not import my mail in my inbox or my sent folder.

I found the inbox email messages in an MBOX folder but not a file so entourage will not import it. Same for the sent items.

I can open that folder in finder and there are a lot of .emlx files so I am not sure how to get them into entourage.

Thanks for any help or advice on this as I am lost with out those email messages.

Thanks,

paul

Thanks Diane,

However, none of those links really answer my question or help me with my dilemma. As a side note, maybe I was not all that clear re-reading my original post.

I have all the emails that were in my in box and in my sent folder in a folder on my desktop. This folder is called Inbox.mbox and Sent.mbox however, these folders are not a file but an actual folder with all my messages inside. Each message has an .emlx extension.

I cannot seem to get these messages into entourage, no matter what I do.

Do you happen to have a step by step of how to get it into Entourage.

The import function in Entourage seems to be useful but only to a certain point.

Thanks again Diane for any help you can give on this,

Paul

This is not a true MBOX file. You are using a really old version of Apple
Mail. See
