Merging Project server farm into separate SP Farm?

Ted

I am the Sharepoint admin for my company, and unfortunately some department
has hired an outside consultant to come in and set up a completely separate
sharepoint environment and install MS Project server on it without my
knowledge. Now, after some questions about who is supposed to support this
application now that the consultants are gone, the question is what would it
take to move this entire MS Project server into our current sharepoint
farm/environment?

For my SP farm we have a SQL server, 2 regular WFE's, and one WFE that
functions as our admin box (for backups/search/index). Our project farm is 1
sql server and one WFE/App server, (it's also running reporting if that
matters).

Has anyone ever tried to move a MS Project application into a regular
Sharepoint Farm, and if so, what did it take to do it? I was thinking that
if I created a new Site Collection with the same url as the Project Site
collection name, and then export/import it, that might work. However now
there is some question as to licensing and how that would work. Would I
have to have a separate license for MS Project on every one of my WFE's?
Including my Admin box that no end users ever touch?

Any help anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Ted

Thanks for your help.
