I am the only person on the project that has Microsoft Project so I am
working with hard copies and excel to distibute tasks. In this distribution,
I would like to show the team who is assigned to what task but NOT what
percentage of time is assigned. How to I remove the % displayed from the
resource column on the Gantt Chart view while still keeping all of my
resource scheduling in the Resource Usage View?

Hello FullOfQuestions,

A common way is to display the Resource Initials next to the Gantt
bars or in the Task Sheet instead of the Resource Name. You can copy
the resources' names into the Resource Initials field in the Resource
Sheet to use full names as well.

You can add the Resource Initials column by clicking your right mouse
on a column heading and selecting Insert Column.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Fullofquestions,
The easiest "fix" is to switch to decimal assignment units. To do that,
go to Tools/Options/Schedule tab. Change the "show assignment units as
a:" to decimal.

Now, if you want to eliminate the assignment level altogether from the
Gantt Chart view, you will need to set up a custom field with a formula
that parses the Resource Names field to eliminate the assignment level.
However, a much more convenient approach might be to simply display the
Resource Initials field in the Gantt Chart view in lieu of the Resource
Names field.

Hope this helps.
