I have three tasks in project. How can I change the weight of each task to
better reflect the actual % complete, when it does the calculation by
duration?

dc,
I'm not sure what you mean by "...change the weight...". If you want to
track progress by the amount of work completed then use % Work Complete
instead of % Complete.
