missing gant bars stumped me

I have researched why some summary bars show and why others don't but I
haven't found a fix. Does anybody know how to fix this? I'm at my wits end!
Help please.

Assuming you are showing all tasks and don't have hide task bar selected in
the Task Information dialog, then you may have a corruption. Try saving to a
different file format and then back again to see if you lose it. If that
doesn't work, if you copy the tasks to a new schedule does the problem still
happen?

I had a sneaky suspicion that it might be a corruption. I copied the tasks to
a new file like you suggested and it works. However I don't understand what
you mean by "a different file format". An ".xls" or a ".wpp", etc? and then
back? Hmmmm. Let me try that. Thanks.

D Pingger,
One of the most common ways to clear corruption is to save the .mpp file
as a .mpd (Project database). Then open it as an .mpp again. I think
that's what Rod meant by "different file format". You might want to go
to our MVP website at: http://www.mvps.org/project/faqs.htm
and take a look at FAQ 43 - File Bloat? Might be corruption.

Other file formats (e.g. .csv, .xls, etc.) can also be converted to .mpp
via an import wizard but there is a little more effort involved.

Thanks for the clarification, John. It didn't clear it up, however. It's
fascinating that half of the summary bars are drawn the others don't; I don't
understand it.

Any other ideas???
