Missing menu items and button in Outlook

Some of the menu buttons in Mail and Contacts are no longer visible (e.g. reply, reply to all, forward, etc. In contacts--save and close button is missing.) I can access the Mail action items through the Actions menu only.

I have uninstalled my Office software, deleted all files in the MS Office folder, and then reinstalled the Office program. I still cannot see these menu items

Someone mentioned I might need to delete a dll file? Anyone know what that refers to or how I go about figuring out which dll file to delete to correct this annoyance.

Thanks

Dyanne

Definitely not the way to go here. Also note that reinstalling a product
doesn't reset settings.
You can add buttons to the taskbar by View-> Toolbars-> Customize-> tab
Commands. On the Toolbars tab you can also reset the original Toolbars.

Thanks Roady, I had tried this before and for some reason the reset did not work. It did work this time after I went into a reply message and into a new appointment and selected to "show menu all in one row

Thank you for the Outlook help link...it will be very useful.
