Windows XP SP2
Office 2k7 Pro Plus - Updated
We have one PC (out of about 30) in the office that crashes whenever
the print dialogue box is launched in Word. Excel and powerpoint are
working fine.
symptoms: New word doc or existing .doc file is typed and showing on
the screen. Open the ribbon and select Print from the menu. The
print dialogue is present, however the printer drop-down box is empty.
(no printer is displayed)
Upon clicking the drop-down arrow for the printer drop-down box, all
network printers are displayed. If you select ANY printer, the drop-
down box remains empty. Oddly enough, the "Cancel" button in the
print dialogue changes to "Close" as if to signify that a printer has
been selected, but the printer drop-down box is still empty.
Choosing to print from here crashes word, but no error messages are
thrown. All Microsoft Office diagnostics come up clean.
I've installed new drivers for the printers as well as remove and re-
install them. Additionally, I've tried changing the default printer
No joy.
Any ideas out there... because I'm out of them.
