Missing pst folder

When I start Outlook 2000, outlook today opens and shows
some old info however when I select for example, tasks I
get the message that "unable to display folder, the
folder no longer exists". Under personal folder
properties, it shows a path that does not exist. I have
no .pst files anywhere. I have uninstalled and
reinstalled but am getting the same result. Any help
would be greatly appreciated.

How could you have no PST files anywhere? Are you running against Exchange
Server?
Search for *.pst. Make sure you are searching for hidden files.
Outlook will not change its default message store all by itself. There is
more to this story.
