more than 1 color scheme

Dear group,

I am administering the systems of our institute, but do not work that
much in PowerPoint myself. I have been searching for a solution for a
request by a user, but have not been able to find one. So maybe you can
help me out.

This is PowerPoint 2004 11.3.0

In the Drawing Toolbar when you click the small triangle for Line-,
Text- or Fill-Color, you get a window, that shows the color scheme for
the slides and below that the most recent 8 colors that you used. When
you pick a 9th color, the first one is replaced.

The user wants to be able to pick more than these 8 colors. I told him,
that he could just click on "More xxx Colors" and get the color picker.
But he wants to be able to pick the colors from the first window. He
insist, that previously he had a choice of 5x8 colors to pick from.

In PowerPoint Help, the topic "About color schemes" shows a window,
that looks like what this user wants. (2) (the additional 5 rows with 8
colors) are other available color schemes.

So my basic question is this: how can I associate more than 1 color
scheme with a presentiation?

I suppose, when I have more than one scheme associated, then these
other color schemes should show up. Or could it be, that this was a
feature from PP v.X and is no longer available, since you can change
the color scheme very easily in the formatting palette?

I hope for your help.

kind regards, Herlind

That graphic is taken from the Format | Slide Color Scheme dialog.
When you click on the Fill Color dropdown you won't see that extended
list. More Colors takes you to a different place.

Right now there can be only one color scheme per presentation.
