Moving messages from IMAP inbox to Local Folder

Hi there,

I'm using Entourage 2008. I have an IMAP account that has a bunch of email messages sitting in the inbox.

I want to MOVE one of these email messages from my IMAP Inbox into one of my local "folders on my computer". When I choose the "Move To" command from the menubar or the toolbar, it does what I want: in essence, it copies the email message to the local folder and then it moves the message from the IMAP inbox into the IMAP deleted folder.

However, because I have so many "folders on my computer", my preferred method is to simply use my mouse to drag-and-drop one of these messages into one of my local folders on my computer. However, when I use my mouse to drag-and-drop, it simply COPIES the message into my local "folder on my computer" instead of MOVING the message.

Is there any modifier key that I can hold down on my keyboard that would tell Entourage to MOVE instead of COPY when I drag-and-drop a message from my IMAP inbox to a local folder? Or am I forced to always go through the "Move" menubar/toolbar?

Thanks,
Scott

Yes, you can hold the Command key down as you move messages from IMAP to
a local folder. This will copy/delete (effectively a move) rather than
just copy.

Hope this helps!
