MS Office Outlook won't remain on screen.

Sorry to be a pain but this one's a mystery. Since Friday last, each time I
have clicked on my MS Office Outlook (I have Office 2003, Windows XP) it
remains on screen for a few seconds then vanishes for no reason. I thought
it was my BlackICE so I disabled it along with my Norton Antivirus and
checked my settings - all OK. Still nothing. As I'd really like to use this
as my default, I'd really appreciate guidance with this problem. My settings
are exactly the same as they were before the problem started up and
everything else is working well, including Office Express which I have now
had to make my default otherwise I'd have no e-mail access at all. From what
I gather from the very brief time I've been able to see it occuring, my
Office Outlook is still receiving and sending messages. Sometimes it shuts
down before this begins, however. Help!

Do you get any error messages? Did you install/uninstall any add-ins for
Outlook recently? Have you tried a new mail profile? (Control Panel->Mail
Icon->Show Profiles->Add)

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
