Hi,

The current version of PowerPoint for MacOS is PowerPoint version X. The
file format is the same for all versions of PowerPoint (makes no difference
Mac or Windows) beginning with PowerPoint 97. Each version has specific
features that are not supported in other versions.

As soon as PowerPoint 2004 is released you should get it so you can use the
new compatibility checker feature. If you buy Office version X between now
and the release of Office 2004 you are eligible for a free upgrade (retail
versions).
