Kevin,

Producer does work on windows 2000
Producer needs powerpoint 2002 / XP or higher.

Taj Do I have to purchase powerpoint 2002 or can I get
it thru a download? What I want to do with VHS video,Is
capture the video through a DAV converter onto my hard
drive to a file that allows me to burn a CDR of the
footage. It will not be going into powerpoint. Quality is
not an issue. I'm looking for a Mpeg-1 file or other that
would allow me to put as much as 2hrs. of footage on a CD
and allow the end user to play it back on just about any
compter. I have seen it done on a friends computer.

Karl, If I capture it to a windows media file can I burn
it to a CDR and have a client play it back on just abot
any compter with media player? AND.... what length of
footage can I squeeze onto thee CDR? I would like to get
2 Hrs on a CDR. The quality and size of the picture is
not an issue.

Kevin,
You can try Windows media encoder(free too)to capture video to windows media
files. Windows media encoder does not need to have powerpoint 2002
installed. if the CD-R capacity is 650M ,it can hold 2 hrs content of 500bps
..

KArl, I did as yousuggested, It seems to be a solution
to my problem. I am very excited tha my problem could
shortly be solved by your input. But... I am running VHS
video thru my Sony PD 150 camcorder through the i.link
cable to a fire wire connection on my PC. The encoder
sees the video but does not recognise the audio. I don't
have a manual so I can't readily solve the problem. Any
suggestions on where to ask? I think it is a config
problem. Kevin
