MS Project- moving assigned tasks ignores their resource calendar

When I first set a new Project resource calendar (to change working days),
the Gant updated correctly. Now when I try to move a task assigned to that
resource (& the calendar still looks right) I get the 'Moving to Non-Working
Day' message. But my chosen day is a working day on the resource calendar

I assume you clicked on the row number to select the entire Task before copy
or cut? If not you only copied the cells you had selected which might not
have included the resource assignment?
