MS Project Start Finish times

G

George

Hello,
I am creating a "Micro" plan and I need to change the start and finish from
displaying dates to display the hours of the day.
Example: task: registration /dur: 30 mins /start 8:30 finish 9:00
Instead of task: registration /dur: 30 mins /start 10/05/05 finish 10/05/05
I hope it makes sence.
Thank you
George

Hi George,

Try Tools>Options, the view tab. In the Date Format drop-down towards the
bottom of the list, is a format showing just time.

Hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Hello,
That seems to work, thank you.
Is it possible to create this view only for some taks instead for the whole
project?
My "Micro" plan is within a "Macro" plan and whe I change the view it
changes everything.
Thank you,
George

Hi George,

Glad my suggestion worked (somewhat) and thanks for the feedback.
Concerning the ability to change the date format for only selected tasks,
unfortunately, no. The Date Format setting is applied to all tasks.

You can change the Date format for a particular *table* but again it applies
that date format to all tasks in the table. To change the format to a
particular table choose View>Table>More Tables. Select the table you wish
to modify and click Edit. In the Table Definition dialog box, select the
date format you desire. Changing tables may be quicker than constantly
changing the default date format.

Hope this helps.

Absolutely briliant, thank you.
It took me only a week to find how to do it.
