Hi,
If a BMP image is inserted into a slide , the corresponding shape is
detected as shape of msoEmbeddedOLEObject type. An exel chart , same way.
How do I distinguish the bmp image? I need that kind of information since I
am writing a PowerPoint Converter to XML.

Hi,

If the image is inserted via Insert, Picture, From Slide, it'll be an
msoEmbeddedImage, not an OLE object. If it's been copy/pasted from an app
that's an OLE server, it may be an msoEmbeddedOLEObject type.
An exel chart , same way.

Depending on how it's been inserted, yes. Or not. It might be a linked object
or an embedded picture.
How do I distinguish the bmp image? I need that kind of information since I

I don't believe you can determine it with certainty. You can look at the
shape's .OLEFormat.ProgID and take an educated guess.
