multiple email accounts

I am trying desperately to find out if Outlook 2000 will
allow multiple email accounts and segregate the messages.
I am using Windows ME and have set up Windows Users, but
does not seem to make a difference; all mail can be seen
from either user. I have been told that it won't work; I
prefer not to use OE.

You could either use Wizard Rules that moves messages to different folder or
you can create different mail profiles in Control Panel-> Mail-> button Show
Profiles-> button Add...

Try using Outlook's profiles. Right click on the Outlook
icon and check out the profiles section. You can specify
a profile for Outlook to use when it starts up, each
profile is a complete seperate entity - unique mail
accounts, data / .pst files, the works. Hope that helps!

Are these REAL multiple email accounts, or are they just aliases on one main
account?

One account is the primary account and the second is the
second of five mailboxes available to the primary
account. I thought this to be REAL accounts; I'd like to
know more. I had an e-mail account on a previous
computer, but am temporarily sharing a computer with a
friend who had an account on the same internet provider.
I added myself as the second mailbox and even tried
setting up the Windows users (on Windows ME), but each
mail once received can be viewed by either account.
