How do I force Word xp to open all files into the same Word window?

Every time I open a new document, Word creates a new window for it and shows
it in the taskbar.

I would like to open one window and have all documents open into this one
window.

Thanks in advance for the help. This is truly annoying to me.

Nobody,
Have a look in "Tools" - "options". Choose the view tab, on your right
uncheck the "windows in taskbar option"
