Multiple filtering possible?

How can I do the following?
1. Filter for all the incomplete tasks.
2. Then filter for a particular Resource. (Alternatively, I can sort all the
Resources.)

Seems like I can only do filtering once, not multiple filtering. Is that true?

Hi,

This is true if you use the standard filters.
It is not true if you use the auto filter: after showing the %complete
column you could auto filter it for 100%, then filter resource names for
contains...
You could also combine a builtin filter with an auto filter
Youc ould also build a filter yourself that combines multiple conditions
(Project, Filtered for..., More Filters, New)

Here's some options.

Option1:
On the Gantt View insert the Resoure Name and %Complete columns.
Turn on the auto filter (the funnel shaped icon next to the drop down that
says "All Tasks). Little down arrows appear on all the column heads.
On thh %Complete Column you can choose "In Process" or "Custom" and make it
any value desired.

Then, on the resource name column, use the drop down to select the resource
by name.

In reality, the drop down menu that says "All Tasks" has a filter that says
"Incomplete Tasks..." That would work, then Autofilter to the resource name.

Option 2: View/Resource Usage...
You can filter that in the same way after inserting the %Complete column.

Option 3: Use the reports (in P2003, View/Reports... then select one of the
Assignment reports). Personally, I do not use these very much.

In P2007, you can use Reports on the top level menu and then fuss with the
Visual Reports or the same reports as in P2003.

Thanks. This helps.

Yes, the auto filters will do the track but the standard filters will
override each other.
