multiple folders in client

I have a user who has 4 copies of the sent items, junk mail and other
folders from exchange (but not inbox) when he opens up his entourage
2004 client. I have had him remove office and reinstall with no change
in behavior. looking at his account on the server or in owa, I do not
see these duplicates, so I'm pretty certain it's all on the local
machine. Any pointers on where to dig in to find these folder listings
on his mac?

This could be a corrupt database. You might try holding down the Option
key as you launch Entourage to invoke the Database Utility and repair
the database.

If that doesn't work and the user hasn't archived any messages under
"Folders On My Computer" and doesn't have an elaborate set of rules that
he's not willing to recreate then I would suggest using Entourage's
Switch Identity function to create a new identity, set up the account
from scratch and let all the messages redownload into the new identity.

Hope this helps! bill
