Multiple logins?

Hi!

Does Access user level security allow for multiple logins by the same user?
The reason I ask is that I want to set up user accounts for each
organization, and I do NOT want to have the possibility of having more than
one person from each org in the database at a time...

Thanks for your help!

Have you tested this?

Why not sign on to your computer, walk to another on the network, and sign
on again.

Much faster than wasting time asking experts to tell you.

No - my database is not complete. I was asking in an attempt to decide
whether or not this type of security would do what I need it to do before I
go through the trouble of setting it up. Sorry if I wasted your time...

YOu can force Access to open the application in Exclusive mode (Tools
Options > Advanced). Otherwise, you could to code something into
your application that recognized the duplication and stopped a second
instance from running. You might find some code on
http://www.mvps.org/access/ that will detect whether a particular user
is already running the application.

Thank you. Is there any way to turn this off?

It's ok if multiple people with different userids are logged in. What I am
wondering is if two different people could log in using the same userid at
the same time...
