Multiple projects

I have 9 Projects that share common resources. My projects begin march 15th
and end December 15th. How do I analyze my resources over this 10 month
period so I can I no when one resource is finished on a task and they can
move to the next project and it's taks. I know my question revolves around
sharing resouces and leveling but how do I get a printable picture of where I
am now as far as resource loading and where I want to be with my reources no
longer overallocated.

Thanks

Hello John,
Two suggestions:
1 - If all your projects share the same resource pool, look at the Resource
Usage view in any of the projects. By default, it displays the Work field.
You can add any other field : right Click on a yellow cell.
2 - Create a new consolidation projet where you'll insert all your
elementary projects. Insert / Project...
Look at the Gantt Chart

Hope this helps,

Hi

i also like the resource allocation view - with the additional column of
"project" added in for this purpose (if you're using the resource pool.mpp
file)

Cheers

Julie --- Appreicate your response. If i could ask your favor on another
inquiry on the same subject. I have taken my 8 projects and built a resource
pool.mpp. I am know trying to figure out the best way to extrapolate the
data ( work per task and assigned resource) I need to look at the overall
picture of my projects (1st one starting 2/22/05 and all 8 ending by 12/31).
they all overlap and I am looking for the best way to present to my managment
how we should balance the manpower, who should start when and if we need to
hire additional resources so we can finish by 12/31. What window can help me
view this the best.

thanks a bunch for your help.
