Multiple resources for a Single task

I know that multiple resources can be assigned to a single
task. But each resource must mark the same task complete
before the task is represented in Project as 100%
complete. I have teams of employees that need to be
recognized as a single resource. All members of that team
need to be notified of the task workload, but only one
team member needs to mark the task 100% for the task to
show 100% complete. Currently, if I have 4 people
assigned to a task and only one marks it 100%, then the
task only shows 25% complete.

The team members are not responsible for marking the TASK 100% complete.
They are responsible for marking their ASSIGNMENT on the task 100% complete.
Thus, a task cannot be 100% complete until all assignments on that task are
100% complete. You have several ways you could handle your issue with
tracking progress:

1. Make this a training and performance issue, and require all team members
to submit their actual progress each week. Failure to submit weekly
progress should not be acceptable behavior in your company.

2. Set the authentication to Project Server authentication for each user
account of team members in PWA. Make the team leader responsible for
logging into each team member's account and marking the assignment 100%
complete.

Of the two, I would prefer option #1. I don't believe that particapation in
the Project Server environment should be optional for anyone. These are
just a couple of ideas. Perhaps the others have some ideas on how to handle
your problem. Hope this helps.
