Re your question, you can download a trial version of Project from a
link at http://www.microsoft.com/project, along with a lot of other
information. Trial versions are also included in CD's in the back of
many books on Project, should you wish to avoid the download. You can
also buy a trial CD from Microsoft.

You can buy the Project full-product at a software dealer.
