New Macro

I am trying to record a new macro and the when I go to
Tools - Macros - Macro the dialogue box that comes up has
the options to Edit, Step Into and Create. When I click
Create it opens up the Visual Basic Editor. I need to
record it using the keystrokes as I am
writing 'Participant Notes' for a training course I am
conducting on 'Creating a Business Document'.
Why is the option to Record a New Macro not showing?
Would appreciate help with this.
Thanking you
Pauline

Microsoft Publisher does not support the macro recording option, which Excel
and Word offer. Macros must be written when using Publisher.

can I record a macro in word then copy & paste then amend?

If by "amend" you mean "delete and rewrite", then yeah, sure.

I wouldn't try porting macros from Word to Publisher. The object models are
too different.
