New Task Entry - Due Date Automatically filled up - How to stop it

When I enter new task, the due date is automatically entered by the system
the moment I enter the start date. How can I
1 Stop the system from doing this and keep the due date blank
And / Or
2 Make the default due date as say 10 days from the start date

Are you saying that I should write Due Date before I enter the Start Date ?
It does not save me key strokes. I want automatic filling of the Due date
with Start Date + say 10 days or alternatively to keep it blank. If I were to
write due date, it does not make any difference whether I write it before or
after the writing of the Start Date - I have to enter the same number of key
strokes
This matter became relevant because all my tasks become 'Overdue' on the
next day and marking it in annoying color red. I call it 'over enthusiasm' of
the Outlook.

Then click on it and pick a day on the calendar if the matter of
keystrokes is a concern.
