No background

I'm trying to print a page and on the screen I have a background. When I
print preview it or convert to pdf my chosen background does not show up.
What am I doing wrong?

Is the background on the Master Page? On the View menu is there a check mark
next to the "Ignore Master Page?"

Is your printer driver current?
