No prompt for password

I have Outlook 2000. Normally when I start it, I am
prompted for a user name and password for my mail server,
after this, it checks my mail and sends anything I have.
Now it has stoped promting for my password. As a result,
I am unable to receive mail. All I receive is "Error
Number: 0x800ccc0e" Any help anyone is able to provide
would be greatly appreciated.

go to tools and view email acct -- make sure you dont have
your pw stored if you do take out pw or retype pw and make
sure its correct
