No video pictures

I am using XP Pro with PPt 2000. When I play a video clip in the
presentation via a proxima projector it is just a black box in the screen on
the wall projection, though it shows correctly as a video clip on the laptop
screen. The audio plays ok. If I want the video to show on the projected
image I need to use the laptop "fn" button so the laptop screen is blank and
everything only displays on the wall projected image.

Any ideas would be appreciated,
