Notes and text fields, text not showing

When adding lots of text in the Notes fields or one of the text fields, when
printing or just viewing, all the text cannot be seen (it does appear when
clicking show notes, but that is a seperate page. I was wanting the text to
show in the table view.

Project is not strong with text handling capability. The Notes field
will hold tons of text but all other text based fields in Project are
limited to 256 characters. Further, when displaying the Notes field as a
column in a view, the display is limited to either text up to the first
line feed or 256 characters. The only way to see all the Notes text is
through the separate Notes window (Task Information/Notes tab) or to
export the text information to another application (e.g. Excel, Word,
etc.). The latter can be done with an SQL query directly to the Project
database or with a VBA macro.

Hi John

I have tried to copy a task list with an extra column added showing the
notes. I try to copy it to Excel, but still all characters don´t show in the
cell in Excel. I press shift+enter not to break the line feed when i want to
change line in Task Information/Notes Tab, but still only a limited number
(256) of characters is copied from Project to Excel.

I copy the whole list and then paste it into Excel. Should not this be
possible?
