number calendars increasing

I am using Microsoft Projet 2002.
I have a file of resources, shared by other projects.
The number of calendars in the other projects is increasing dramatically,
causing CPU overhead while opening the projects.
Has anybody met this problem ?
How can you solve it ?
Please Help !
