I am entering information in a table in a Word document. I would like the
first cell of each row to include an automatically generated number, similar
to the way unique numbers are automatically assigned in Access. I would like
the number for each row to be unchanged. Unfortunately, the Autonum field
does not work, since resorting the table will change (i.e. what had been row
1 will be renumbered tow 5). Is there any way to have Word automatically
insert a fixed sequential number?
Thanks,
Peter
