Does anyone know how to print a contents list of files contained within a
folder and subfolders?

You need to go to the DOS window for the folder your in and enter DIR *.* >
c:\temp\filelist.txt This will put a file in your temp folder with a listing of
all the files. At the DOS prompt, you can enter DIR /? to get all the options
for that command.

Do you thnk Bill G should have a neater way of doing this by now?

Use Google to search for "print directory list" for utilities that do this.
There are plenty.
