I have several documents and workbooks that I use at home & work. We are
using Office 2000 at work and I just loaded 2003 at home. Hence my question.
Can you edit documents and workbooks in 2003 and still be able to access
them and work with them in 2000?

You can use the documents and workbooks in both versions
but be sure to use compatability settings or to stay away
from new features in the 2003 editions that may not be
implemented in the same way in the 2000 edition.

There aren't a lot of featurs that are problems in that
area, so if you work at home the same way you do things
at work, generally you'll be okay.

Thank you for your information. Do you know anything about access databases
between 2000 & 2003? If you opened a 97 database in 2000 you could not long
view it in 97. Is it the same for 2000 & 2003?

As of Access 2002 they now have a shared file format. You can open an
Access 2000 database in Access 2002 or 2003 without the need to covert
the database.

If you create an Access database in the Access 2002 file format (2003
uses the same format) then it can not be opened in Access 2000. So if
you stick with the Access 2000 file format you should be fine.

You'll see the file format next to the database name in the title bar
in Access 2002/2003 if you are unsure which format you are using.
