Trying to reinstall Office 2000 SB on new computer
running Windows XP PRO. Unable to install because no
previous version found on computer. I have the key #.
What can I do? The computer it was on is dead.

Sounds like this is an "upgrade" version and not a full
one. If this is the case you may have to purchase an older
version of Office so that you have a copy of a qualifying
product. The computer store near me sells OEM office 97
for $50. Better and more legal than the "other" options
available.
