Office 2000 security update. I can't find CD for installation.

I'm trying to install Office 2000 security updates. The original CD is
required for installation. Can't locate that anywhere.

Am I just left vunerable?

Can you try to install the full-file versoin of the patches? Sometimes you
can get around the CD requirement that way.

Thank you for responding. I didn't know they were available. I'll bet they
are as this concerns security. It's not as if I'm trying to weasel something
for free.

That's happened to a lot of people, which is part of why Microsoft made
those updates available in full-file patches that don't require the CD. I
believe you need to be at SR-1a level with Office 2000 for them to work, and
even then they're not guaranteed.

But give it a try. Otherwise, you will be out of luck without the original
installation media.
